Article DetailsTeaching in Smaller Saudi Cities and Townsby Carol Fleming - 06/09/2010 "Riyadh and Jeddah are not the only cities for teaching opportunities in Saudi Arabia. This article explores some of the advantages in accepting a teaching position in a smaller city or town in the Kingdom." Riyadh and Jeddah are not the only opportunities for a teacher to acquire a position in Saudi Arabia either as a professor or an EFL teacher. There are schools and Universities in smaller cities and towns such as Al Jouf, Tabuk, Unaizah and others. Benefits a teacher may receive by accepting a position in a smaller or city or town include opportunities to become easier acquainted with students and their families. Additionally, accepting a teaching opportunity in a smaller city or town will allow a teacher to more fully experience the customs, traditions and culture of Saudi Arabia. (0 Votes)

I think people working in the KSA should come forward to contribute on such forums and share their experience with the ones who are willing to work there.

Now i am searching for ajob.Nasir Abbas Thursday 15 July 2010, 1:26 am Dear Carol, thanks for all your helpful articles. I would suggest you to give vent to your feelings as a worker in Saudi Arabia. What challenges does an employee especially a teacher face at his / her work place? This is very important to know because the person who is willing to move on to a new place of work feels that he / she will be in comforts in his / her new working environment owing to a very attractive remuneration package and all other facilities usually unaware of the challenges that lie ahead. What I want to say is he/she perhaps does not expect the unexpected situation especially the one who travels for the first time. One of my colleagues had to face such a horrible (this is what he had used the word when he was leaving back for his home country though he had more than 20 years teaching experience) experience. I think I have tried my level best to let you know what I want you to write about. Ilyas Tuesday 20 July 2010, 6:12 am Hi Carol
