Saudi British Centre (SBC) is one of the kingdom’s leading English language centers providing quality education to students. The popularity of the institution has grown tremendously in recent years due to the clamor t by young Saudis o learn and be proficient in English. Saudi British Centre is the authorized examination center for ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) conducted by the University of Cambridge. SBC also conducts KET, PET, FCE and IELTS examinations across various centers.
A lot of vacancies exist in Saudi British Centre for potential teachers as EFL instructors. Among the top clients for Saudi British Centre are Saudi Telecom Company, BAE Systems, Majmaah University, Technical and Vocational Training Corporation and Princess Nora Bint Abdul Rahman University.
A pre-condition for EFL instructors is that they must be native English speaking professionals. Typically, candidates are expected to have a minimum of 3 years’ full-time ESL/EFL teaching experience. They must necessarily be graduates or post-graduates with teaching certification such as TEFL, DELTA, CELTA or TESOL. These courses must have been done full-time from recognized universities and online courses are not recognized by SBC.

SBC operates in four cities of Riyadh, Jeddah, Mecca and Medina. Employment in the last two cities is reserved exclusively for Muslim employees due to local regulations. A wide variety of courses are taught in SBC such as English for Business, General English, conversation courses, IELTS preparatory courses, Preparatory Year Program courses for high school graduates and customized courses for corporates.
Each class has an average of 10 to 15 students only, which makes excellent interaction between the teachers and students possible. The quality of teaching has been recognized by Edexcel, UK’s largest awarding body. A lot of teachers have been hired to teach for Princess Nora Bint Abdul Rahman University, the world’s largest all-women University.
